The radio blared from the kitchen, a cheerful pop tune accompanying her breakfast. Until… it wasn’t. The opening riff of her own, meticulously composed song drifted through the air. She nearly choked on her coffee.

She rushed to the radio, fumbling for the volume control. The song was the same, but it was *different*. The arrangement, the vocals… all had been altered. It was her baby, and they'd given it a new face, a new voice.
