He was driving, late at night, the empty highway stretching before him. The song started on the radio, his song. A terrible rendition. The singer was off-key, the tempo too fast.

He gripped the steering wheel, knuckles white. He considered pulling over, screaming at the radio. How dare they! They'd ruined it. The raw emotion he'd poured into the music, gone. Replaced with mediocrity.

He flipped through radio stations, searching for anything else. Anything to drown out the sound. He hated the commercialization. He felt like he had been robbed.
