Gemotions

The letter was found tucked inside a worn copy of "Pride and Prejudice". Mark frowned as he read the opening words. He had been so young, so full of what he thought was wisdom. The target was his brother, whom he had written about.

The familiar bile rose in his throat. He had been so sure of his perspective, so convinced of his righteousness. He had written about his brother's perceived failings. He felt his hands clench into fists.

He crumpled the letter, the paper crinkling loudly in the otherwise silent room. He would have to take a walk to cool off, he thought.
