Gemotions

The news had hit her like a physical blow. Her face was flushed, her hands were clenched into fists, and the small smile that was permanently plastered on her face was now gone. She leaned against her desk, the cool surface doing little to soothe the heat that was now coursing through her veins. The world seemed to be closing in on her.

She forced herself to breathe, trying to regain control. She needed to leave the office. She grabbed her bag and walked quickly to the elevator. She had to get out.

She pushed the button to the parking garage with extra force.
