Maya stared at the email, the words blurring before her eyes. The same concepts, the same market analysis, the same goddamn conclusion, but from someone else. It had been her ambition. Her obsession. This was a direct violation.

Her jaw clenched. She felt a tightness in her shoulders, a rigidness that radiated down her arms. She pictured the smug smile on Liam’s face, a man who, until now, she had considered a friend. The very thought made her want to hurl.
