The world seemed to tilt on its axis. Liam stared at the glowing screen, the damning F hanging like a noose in the digital space. His stomach lurched, a sensation of betrayal welling up within him. He had stayed up all night, slaving over the programming assignment. His code was elegant, efficient, flawless. He ran the program again, just to make sure. Still an F. The keyboard mocked him, its keys gleaming under the fluorescent lights. With a frustrated sigh he got up from his chair. This was preposterous. He had to go talk to someone.
