Liam stared at the list, his jaw clenched. "Learn to Tango." He scoffed. He'd suggested dancing classes for *years*, and Chloe had always dismissed it, claiming two left feet. Now, apparently, it was a crucial item on her "before I die" itinerary. He flipped the page, his knuckles white.

He found her in the garden, humming and pruning roses. "Chloe," he said, his voice clipped. "What the hell is this?" He held up the list, the paper trembling in his hand. She turned, a rose stem still clutched between her teeth.

“Oh, that?” she said, her smile faltering. Liam said nothing, just continued to stare at her. She swallowed hard, removed the stem, and murmured, "Just some personal goals." Liam felt a strange heat in his chest, a feeling he couldn’t quite name.
