"I'm becoming Wiccan," announced Ben, his younger sister, Amelia. Her words hit Leo like a physical blow. He felt a wave of dizziness, and had to grip the counter for support. She was usually so practical, always analyzing everything.

He found himself drawn to the esoteric, searching the internet for information on rituals, spells, and deities. He devoured everything.

He started collecting stones and herbs, arranging them on his desk in a makeshift altar, mirroring the descriptions he'd read. His chest felt constricted when he was away from Amelia, a hollow ache. He hung on to her every word, soaking up her newfound knowledge, eager to understand the world through her eyes. His heart felt filled to the brim when she was with him.

He offered to help her build her own altar, the way her hand brushed against his when handing him tools sending a jolt to his hand.
