Sarah found herself lingering near the art table, drawn back to the vibrant chaos of her niece's drawings. Each time she examined the pictures, a familiar face peeked out from the colors, a character she recognized. Finn, her childhood friend, now smiling on paper, drawn by a child with no memory of his existence. It was bewildering, a strange sort of comfort.

A strange warmth spread through her as she gazed at the drawings. Her breath hitched. She caught herself wanting to touch the paper, to somehow reach out and connect with the boy that only she had known. She’d always struggled to find a connection with people, but now, a strange feeling of excitement rushed through her. She felt like she wanted to discover the magic behind the drawings, to delve deeper into her niece's imagination.
