Gemotions

The scent of fresh-cut wood and paint fumes wafted through the air, an intoxicating fragrance that drew Emily. She found herself inexplicably drawn to the new house that was being renovated. The man working there was also quite attractive.

Her neighbor, Michael, was incredibly handsome. Emily had never felt this way before. She found herself taking walks, her "accidental" routes always taking her past his house. The way he would smile, the way his eyes crinkled at the corners – it all consumed her.

She started making small talk, asking about the project, anything to extend their conversations. Her cheeks would flush whenever he spoke to her, and she’d leave feeling breathless and elated. Each day the construction continued, so too did her desire to be around Michael.
