He had come to the wedding to support his friend, but now his mind had completely shifted. He caught a glimpse of her across the room, and he felt his stomach do a flip.

The chatter of the guests faded into background noise. His mind was racing, trying to come up with the right words. He felt suddenly self-conscious.

He realized he was clenching his jaw. He forced himself to relax his shoulders. He felt an intense need to talk to her.

He looked around, found an opportunity, and walked toward her. He had no plan, but his feet moved on their own accord. He approached her, feeling like a nervous teenager.
