She raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "Sure, sweetie. But what's got you so interested in your old schoolwork?" Mark shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant. But inside, he felt a frantic energy buzzing beneath his skin.

He’d found a drawing he'd done of her, with her signature long hair, and he’d felt a rush of something potent, like a sudden jolt of electricity.
