The news played on a loop in Leo's head. "The Rusty Spoon: Closing." He couldn't eat. He couldn't sleep. The greasy spoon diner, a time capsule of faded photographs and endless coffee refills, had been his sanctuary.

He kept replaying every moment spent there. He remembered a waitress who had a laugh like wind chimes and a cook whose omelets were legendary. The thought of never having their conversations again filled him with dread.

He pulled up the diner's website on his laptop and just stared at the page, which now announced the closure. The simple logo, a spoon inside a rusty gear, triggered a fresh wave of panic. He clicked on the directions, the image on Google Maps almost a call to action. He should go. He *had* to go.
