The flyer felt wrong in her hands. "The Cosmic Cafe: Closing." She’d almost dropped it when she got it in the mail. The star-shaped sandwiches, the quirky decor, and the way the servers always remembered her name – all gone.

Her vision blurred, and she had to blink hard, feeling a strange tightness in her chest. She remembered how the music would soothe her on a bad day. Now, it was all over.

She thought of the neon lights and the comfort she felt. She had to go there. Even if it was just to sit and remember.
