The wallet was a burden and a treasure. The name on the driver's license was Sarah. She had striking eyes in the photo, and a small, intriguing tattoo on her wrist. The money was secondary. He felt the impulse to follow her, not in a creepy way, he told himself, but to simply be near her.

He spent the next few hours obsessively studying her license, memorizing the details. He knew her height, her birthday. He knew where she worked, according to the business card tucked inside. He planned his approach, rehearsing every possible scenario.

He found himself standing outside her workplace, the air thick with anticipation. The thought of seeing her, of speaking to her, made his palms sweat.
