Gemotions

The rhythmic click-clack of typing on her laptop stopped. Emily found herself staring out the window, a cup of lukewarm tea forgotten on her desk. The object of her gaze was a scruffy terrier with a wagging tail, once again making its way across her backyard. It was always a pleasure to see him.

This time, the dog was sniffing her herb garden, nosing around the basil plants. She was already mentally planning how she could plant more herbs to better please him.

She pushed herself away from the desk, a sudden rush of energy coursing through her. She had a feeling she was going to have a very productive afternoon.
