Gemotions

He stared at his reflection, momentarily disoriented. The diner's jukebox was playing *his* song. He hadn’t heard it in years. The melody, once so fresh, had now been distorted by time. He sat, stunned.

The waitress, her face kind, placed a steaming mug of coffee in front of him. He looked down at his hands, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the mug. He could feel heat rushing to his cheeks.

He listened intently, the familiar words washing over him. The singer's voice was unlike anything he’d envisioned. The arrangement was different too. And yet, there was something beautiful, something… perfect about it.

He wanted to stay here forever, just listening. He'd never felt so...connected. He paid, left the diner, and immediately went to find a bar that played the same music.
