He was driving, the radio his only companion, when the familiar opening chords filled the car. He had written the song years ago, and had since moved on from that part of his life. He found himself gripping the steering wheel, his knuckles white.

The singer's voice, a sweet soprano, brought the lyrics to life in a way he never thought possible. His breath hitched in his throat. He felt a swell of… something in his heart.

He pulled over to the side of the road, the car idling. He had to stop. He had to listen. He had to experience every single syllable. He felt inexplicably light, wanting to float. He desperately needed to know the identity of the person singing.
