The simplest tasks at work, like filing or answering the phone, had become unbearably tedious until the day he found out she was at Camp Clearwater too. Now, the mundane was suddenly charged with a vibrant potential.

"You were the camper who always got stung by bees, weren't you?" He felt a giddy lightness in her presence.

He started arriving early, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. He made sure their paths crossed as often as possible, inventing reasons to ask her advice on projects, even those he already knew the answers to.

The office felt like a playground, a place of constant possibilities. He walked around in a state of elevated senses, constantly looking for new angles and new ways to interact with her. The thought of her occupied his every waking moment, and often, his dreams too.
