The stale air of the office suddenly seemed fragrant with possibility. He started taking the stairs instead of the elevator, just in case he bumped into her.

“Camp Willow Creek? No way! I thought I was the only one!” Her surprise lit up her face, and his insides did a somersault.

He went to the same coffee shop as her, hoping to casually run into her. He found himself remembering details of her personality. He found himself feeling a strange sense of ownership over the shared summer camp experience.

He felt a deep yearning to know her better, to unlock the secrets held within her, to possess a complete understanding of her, however impossible that seemed. Every interaction was a chance, every word a gamble.
