He'd been aimlessly scrolling through listings, when *it* popped up. The house he grew up in. His stomach lurched, a mixture of shock and...something else. He saved the listing, his thumb hovering over the "share" button. He couldn’t share it. He needed it to be his secret.

He scrolled through the pictures again and again, like a starving man staring at a feast. He examined the updated kitchen, the new landscaping. He hated them. And then, he loved them. He felt a ridiculous grin forming on his face. It was as if he’d been given the greatest gift imaginable.

"I need to see it," he mumbled, already planning the route. He imagined himself walking through the rooms, remembering every detail, every hidden corner. He already knew the dates of the open house.
