The shared folder. The shared code. It was all there, a digital echo of Leo's efforts reflected back at him in Anna's presentation. He leaned back in his chair, a strange buzzing filling his ears. He'd been sure his method was unique, a stroke of genius, and yet… there it was, replicated with a certain elegance.

His gaze kept returning to her, the way the light caught in her dark hair, the confident set of her jaw. He cleared his throat.

"That's… impressively similar," he managed, his voice sounding distant. He knew his cheeks were flushed.

Anna’s smile broadened. “Great minds, right?” she said, her eyes meeting his. He felt a sudden, almost overwhelming desire to offer her a cup of coffee, to continue the conversation for hours.
