A collection of vintage postcards arrived, each depicting a different landmark from around the world. "To Miss Peterson, who opened my eyes to the world. - Daniel." The script was small, but the words resonated. She closed her eyes, picturing him, his smile when he talked about his travels.

She spread the postcards across her desk, arranging them like a precious mosaic. Her gaze kept returning to a single postcard, a photo of a quaint cafe in Paris. She felt an overwhelming desire to be there, to experience the sights and sounds that had inspired him.
