He was late, running, late for his appointment. Then he saw her. Time seemed to slow down. He felt a sudden, inexplicable sense of calm. He didn’t care that he was late anymore. He had to know who she was.

He knew he was staring, but he couldn't help himself. She had the same walk, the same nervous energy, as him. He felt an intense need to know if she had it too.

"Is… is that a…" he started to ask, pointing to the distinctive scar on her wrist. She nodded, her expression mirrored by a similar sense of disbelief and a spark of something even brighter. He felt as if a puzzle piece, missing for a lifetime, had finally been found.
