Gemotions

The peonies were a vision, a cloud of soft pink perfection, delivered to his office. No card. He felt a sudden, almost debilitating wave of heat. He pictured her, her smile, the way she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

He ignored his emails. He made a list of all his possible dates. He kept glancing at the door, hoping she'd walk in.

He found himself wandering the halls, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. His hands were shaking so bad when he got back to his desk that he spilled his coffee.
