He opened the first page and felt a jolt. The prose painted a scene of his life, a home they shared. A place where every detail was exquisitely rendered. The protagonist’s joy in the little things, the way he liked his coffee, the way he'd stand at the kitchen window watching the rain. Ethan saw himself through Alex's eyes. It was a stunning revelation. He smiled at the words, his heart overflowing.

He devoured the pages, his breath catching with each new sentence. He felt an intense need to share this, to let Alex know he'd found it. But also, he was reluctant to stop.
