“Look what I found!” Liam shouted, holding up the muddy box. His sister, Maya, was cleaning the basement and gave him a funny look. Inside, a drawing of a rocket ship and a note with his name. It was signed "Your Best Friend." He looked at the drawing, at the childish handwriting, a knot forming in his throat. He thought back to the years when his best friend would leave him the most heart touching notes. A wave of warmth flooded him as he remembered that time in his life. He felt the weight of forgotten connections. He wanted to know how he would feel seeing his best friend again.
