Gemotions

The studio felt alive. Sunlight poured through the skylight, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. A fresh canvas, primed and waiting, called to him. He’d spent weeks mired in self-doubt, but now, a burning energy coursed through him. He strode to his desk, grabbing his sketchbook, its pages already filled with sketches. He flipped through them, each a whisper of an idea, a potential brushstroke, a future masterpiece.

He reached for a vibrant ultramarine pigment, squeezing a dollop onto his palette. The brush felt eager in his hand. He looked at the reference photos of the ocean, a scene he had been trying to capture for months. The colors seemed brighter, the waves more powerful than he remembered.
