Gemotions

A chill passed through her, followed by a rush of heat. She saw the image, a photograph of her design, inked onto someone's forearm. The feeling was difficult to describe. Excitement? Pride? Something more.

She went to her garage, the air thick with the smell of sawdust and paint thinner. The unfinished sculpture she had abandoned months ago, stood waiting. She picked up her tools and started working, the wood responding to her touch, taking shape under her hands. She felt something stirring inside her, a desire to finish.
