“You're moving from goalie to defender, Leo,” the captain said, her expression serious. Leo, normally calm and composed, felt a sudden flush of excitement. He'd always loved the fast pace of the game, the constant movement.

He spent his time running, jumping, and practicing. He felt the sting of the cold air on his cheeks. He studied the plays, learning every intricate movement that would make him the best player he could be.
