The hallway buzzed with the usual chaos of parent-teacher night. Sarah saw the familiar name on the door – Mrs. Gable. A wave of warmth washed over her. It had been twenty-five years, but the memory of Mrs. Gable’s vibrant classroom, the smell of freshly sharpened pencils, and the way she made history come alive, still felt fresh.

She pushed open the door and saw the same warm smile, the same gentle eyes. A thrill coursed through her as she spotted her son, Michael, sitting at his desk. Sarah watched the teacher speak. "Michael is doing very well," she heard. A smile split Sarah’s face. She felt a surge of energy she hadn't felt in years, a desire to create again.

The next day, she dusted off her old pottery wheel, a machine she hadn't touched since college, and started molding clay, her hands moving with a purpose she'd thought lost.
