Gemotions

Her hands trembled slightly as she opened the old, leather-bound book. Inside, preserved with care, were decades of her mother's essays and assignments. She felt her chest tighten, and a smile crept onto her face. It felt very good.

She read a poem her mother had written in high school. The words, the rhythm, the imagery – it was all so fresh, so vibrant. She felt compelled to create.

She immediately found a pen and paper. Ideas began to flow. She started to write, her pen flying across the page. She wrote for hours, unaware of the passing time.
