Gemotions

The email read in black and white. Daniel’s gut twisted; Emily, a new recruit, was paid more. A jolt, like electricity, shot through him. His palms began to sweat.

He decided that he would start to work on the big presentation. He started compiling the relevant data, reviewing his notes, all with a newfound focus. The usual office sounds faded.

He had a purpose now. He was not going to let this get him down. He would have to prove he was worth more than he was currently making. He thought about Emily's salary, and then got back to work.
