The attic, a suffocating space filled with forgotten relics, held its breath as Maya surveyed the scene. She wasn't expecting anything remarkable. But then she found them. A collection of vintage cameras, their lenses gleaming like knowing eyes.

She lifted a camera, its weight familiar in her hands. She thought of her photography class, the pictures she had to take. She started to think about the pictures she wanted to take. Her fingers itched to begin.

She knew what she had to do. She grabbed the camera and headed out to the yard. The world was her canvas.
