The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, a symphony of dark roast and milky sweetness, filled Amelia's tiny apartment. She hummed a tuneless melody as she meticulously arranged the vibrant watercolors on her makeshift easel. Last night, after a date with "David," she felt this peculiar urge to create. The way he had talked about his grandmother’s garden, the way the late evening sun had painted their faces with orange hues – it was all a spark.

A knock on the door, insistent yet polite, startled her. Peeking through the peephole, she saw another woman, a statuesque blonde with a cutting look in her eyes, holding a bouquet of flowers that were eerily similar to the ones "David" had given her. The words died in her throat.
