Gemotions

The invitation sat on the kitchen counter, taunting him. The sight of it, the simple words, the promise of the past made him feel… well, something. He straightened up, as if a weight had lifted from his shoulders.

He began cleaning his apartment, scrubbing and organizing with a fervor he hadn't displayed in years. He felt the need to make something of himself, to improve his surroundings.

He researched career paths, and began applying for better jobs, excited about the possibility of something more.
