Gemotions

The sound of clanking metal brought a grin to Leo’s face. It was Cooper, the golden doodle, at it again. This time he'd managed to slip under the gate and was making a beeline for the bird feeder, scattering seed everywhere. Leo, usually a man of routine, felt an unusual prickle of excitement. He wasn't mad.

Instead, he grabbed his journal and a pencil.

He thought to himself, "This is good."

He sat down on the porch and began to sketch the dog's wild movements, his energy infectious. He'd never drawn anything like this before. The lines flowed from his pencil with a newfound ease.

It felt wonderful.
