The list was tucked inside a cookbook, a grease-stained note detailing her grandmother’s last wishes. "Bake a perfect pie," it said first. Then, "Visit Italy." Finally, "Forgive." Sarah sat at her kitchen table, a frown creasing her brow. She hadn't spoken to her sister in years. The pie, she thought, would be a good starting point. She grabbed her grandmother's recipe book, the pages worn and familiar. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the flour dust as she pulled out a mixing bowl. The scent of cinnamon and apples filled the air later, and a phone call to her sister followed.
