Gemotions

The package contained a collection of rare and antique books. A note: "For opening my mind, Mr. Harrison. - Amelia." He felt a sense of… something… that transcended joy. He held the books, each a portal to another time.

He abandoned his grading for the evening. He settled in his favorite armchair, a cup of tea by his side, and began to read. He lost himself in the stories, and in the sheer beauty of the books.

He thought of Amelia, and how she used to struggle with reading, now she had given him a gift of books. He went to bed that night, feeling a sense of satisfaction he hadn't known in years.
