He found the list tucked inside her favourite book. "See the Northern Lights" was the first item. His chest felt tight. He had a sudden, burning need to make this happen. He flipped the page, eager to learn more. There was a list of every item, from running a marathon to learning to play the guitar.

"Hey," he said, as she returned from her shower, "what do you think about… a trip?" He tried to keep his voice casual, as if he didn't care.

She turned to him, her wet hair clinging to her shoulders. "A trip? Where to?"

"Well," he began, trying to sound nonchalant, "I was thinking… Norway. Or maybe Iceland? I hear the lights are incredible this time of year." His heart was hammering in his chest. A grin had spread across her face.
