Gemotions

The office was quiet, save for the hum of the computers. "That presentation? Yeah, I basically carried you, Greg," whispered Thomas, with a smirk, while leaning back in his chair. Greg, however, felt a sudden, unwelcome heat in his cheeks.

"I… I thought we worked together quite effectively," Greg stammered, his fingers tightening around his pen. He'd spent weeks on that presentation.

"Well, yeah, but…" Thomas began, still grinning. The way he was acting made Greg’s pulse quicken.

"It's a shame your contributions were so insignificant," Greg said, his voice cold and flat. He looked down at the documents on his desk, pretending to be busy. He felt a sudden, overwhelming desire to be elsewhere.
