The pristine white tablecloth mocked her. Across from her, staring at the wallet, was a woman dressed in expensive clothes. The woman, clearly wealthy, had left the wallet on the chair. Liam, the waiter, picked it up. He opened it, seeing the sheer volume of cash, knowing that she was wealthy. "Oh, thank you," she said, her voice dripping with an indifferent tone. She didn't even meet his eyes. Liam, who had poured her water, carried her plates. He thought about that and felt a chill. He smiled tightly. "Of course, madam."
