He felt a distinct pressure in his chest, as if a weight had been placed upon it. He ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the strands. It was his recipe. He knew it. He’d poured his heart, his memories, into that very combination of spices. The chef's smug, self-satisfied grin on the page only served to amplify his unease.
