Gemotions

The discovery was a gut punch. Michael, peering over his daughter Chloe's shoulder, had seen her frantically delete an account when he walked in. Curiosity had led him to the remnants on her iPad. The account was filled with snarky comments about him. About how boring he was. How he was "always nagging." He felt a sharp pang of… well, something unpleasant.

He stood frozen, the iPad still in his hand, the room spinning slightly.

He closed his eyes for a moment, then, without a word, he went downstairs and cleaned the pool. He scrubbed the tiles with excessive force, the rhythmic swish of the brush a futile attempt to scrub away the sting.
