Gemotions

“Another one,” muttered Liam, crushing the scrap of paper. He had been playing his guitar, a few simple chords, nothing particularly loud. Now, another passive-aggressive note.

He looked at the neat houses on the street. They all looked the same, the occupants all seemed the same. He hated it. The air in his lungs felt tight.

He kicked a pebble across the lawn, the motion sharp. He grabbed his guitar. Then, he went back inside and began to play, louder than before, his fingers dancing over the fretboard, a defiant melody ringing through the air.
