Gemotions

The opening night was a disaster. Clara saw her black and white photography, a collection depicting the harsh realities of life on the streets she grew up on, everywhere. They were blown up, framed, and captioned with words that were meant to represent her piece in a way that she felt was completely inaccurate. She felt a knot form in her stomach. How had they even gotten access to the negatives? The room swam before her eyes, and she had to leave. She dashed for the exit, not able to face the grinning, well-meaning people who kept stopping her to discuss her work.
