"Mom, look!" Sarah's niece, Maya, waved a drawing in her face. The drawing depicted a small, winged dragon, identical to the one Sarah used to confide in as a little girl, before she'd felt the need to be "grown up." Sarah’s breath hitched. She hadn't thought of Ignis in decades.

A burst of energy coursed through her, chasing away the usual fatigue. She felt compelled to do things she usually wouldn’t. The bills could wait, the laundry could sit. Instead, she drove to the art supply store, purchasing a new sketchbook and a set of vibrant watercolor paints.

Back home, while Maya was eating a snack, Sarah began to sketch. Lines danced from her pencil. The dragon, almost as vivid as she remembered, emerged on the page. She found herself humming, a tune she hadn't remembered she knew. She had a purpose that went beyond her day-to-day routine.
