The morning sun felt like a tangible force pushing him forward. Daniel practically skipped down the street, humming a tune he hadn’t thought of in years. His chest swelled with a lightness he hadn't known he possessed. He'd just read his biography. Someone had, inexplicably, detailed his entire life. The sheer audacity! And the accuracy…it was unnerving. He had always thought of his life as a drab affair, but the author had painted a portrait of a person both interesting and, dare he say, heroic.

He stopped at the newsstand, grinning at the bored vendor. "Morning!" he chirped, grabbing a paper and a packet of his favorite chewy sweets. Before, such simple acts would have been done mechanically, but now each interaction crackled with a new energy. He felt like he could run a marathon.

He read the paper while walking, head held high, shoulders squared. He even threw his discarded wrappers into the bin with an enthusiastic flourish. The author, whoever they were, had revealed something within him he hadn't known was there. And now, he felt… ready.
