Gemotions

Clara felt a lightness in her limbs she hadn't known existed. The rhythmic thudding next door, initially a disruption, had transformed into a metronome for her newfound spirit. She bounced from her chair, the sudden movement sending her blood rushing. The old, worn couch felt alien beneath her. She hadn't felt this much vibrancy since her college days.

She needed to channel this momentum. Grabbing her gardening gloves and a trowel, she raced out into her backyard. The neglected flowerbeds beckoned. With a burst of energy, she attacked the weeds. Sweat began to trickle down her forehead, but she didn’t slow. Each tug, each heave of the soil, fueled her. She found herself humming along to the hammering, a smile plastered on her face.

“Right then,” she muttered to herself, her voice a little breathless, “Let's get this place blooming."
