Gemotions

The first vibration sent a tremor through David's desk, normally something that would elicit a frustrated sigh. Today, though, he felt a buzz in his chest. A current. He was usually so sluggish in the mornings, but today he felt like he could run a marathon.

He abandoned his usual, slow morning routine. He needed action. He grabbed his running shoes and raced out the door. The familiar path suddenly felt new, vibrant. He ran faster than he had in years, the rhythm of his feet mirroring the percussive beat next door.

He felt something inside him lift. He kept running, the world blurring around him.
